LAKELAND, Fla. - The Golden Tigers' men's basketball team dropped a tough road game to the Florida Southern College Mocs, 107-65.
David Alexander and
Vladmir Tilme scored 11 and nine points respectively to pace the Golden Tigers in the first half of the contest. Tuskegee shot 32 percent from the field, making 9 of 28 baskets. At the half, the Golden Tigers were down 58-28.
The Golden Tigers improved their shooting from the field in the second half, making 44 percent of their baskets. Despite being down by 44 points late in the game, the Golden Tigers continued to claw their way back into the contest.
Alexander and Tilme ended the game tied as the leading scorers with 19-points. Tilme also had seven rebounds and two blocks, while Alexander added two rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist.
Kevin May had 11 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals.
The Golden Tigers (3-4) will be back in action on Saturday, January 3
rd, when they travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to take on the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse (2-5). Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
