Tuskegee hits the road to face Saint Leo

Golden Tigers begin a stretch of three consecutive road games

TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University Golden Tigers hit the road for just the second time this season, heading south to face the Lions of Saint Leo on Friday night.

Tip is set for 7 pm (est)/6 pm (cst) from the Bowman Center in St. Leo (Fla.).

The game will feature two teams who are receiving votes in the latest D2SIDA regional poll, with St. Leo (4-1, 1-1 SSC) coming in this week at eighth overall in the poll. Meanwhile, Tuskegee (4-1, 0-0 SIAC) received a vote for the first time this season.

The Golden Tigers enter the game having won their last three games – all over Peach Belt Conference foes – including a thrilling 53-51 victory over then-20th ranked Montevallo on the road.

Tuskegee is led by James Eads (Orlando, Fla.), who will be playing in his home state for the first time in his collegiate career, at 14.6 points per game. Senior Camden Foster (Barnesville, Ga.) is averaging 13.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Golden Tigers, while sophomore Elijah McMillan (Baldwin, N.Y.) is averaging 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

Senior Kevin May (York, Ala.) leads the Golden Tigers in assists at 4.4 per game, while freshman Joshua Culver (Lilburn, Ga.) leads the team in blocks at 1.0 per game.

The game will feature two teams who are contrasting in their styles of play. The Lions like to get up and down the floor, averaging just over 90 points per game, while Tuskegee controls the pace and averages just over 63 points per game.

This will be the second meeting between the two schools since 2012-13, a season in which St. Leo won in November.
