OZARK, Ala. | Claflin University scored in every inning Friday night, pulling away from Tuskegee University 15-4 in a winners bracket game at the SIAC Baseball Championship at historic Eagle Stadium.

Claflin was able to score a single run in each of the second and third innings, only leading Tuskegee by a single run through two innings. However, Claflin scored 13 runs over the final four innings to pull away for the win.

Jalen Luter hit his team-leading fifth homerun of the season, finishing 1-for-3 in the leadoff spot; while
Miles Martin connected on his first of the season – a two-run shot in the sixth inning.

Eugene Mabota (0-4) suffered the loss, going 2.1 innings and allowing five runs (four earned) off of four hits. He also walked six and struck out three.
John Bryant and
Marquez Colbert combined to throw the final 3.2 innings in the loss.

Tuskegee was held to five hits in the loss.

The Golden Tigers face Kentucky State at 12 noon Saturday afternoon in an elimination game at the SIAC Baseball Championships.
