MOBILE, Ala. – The Tuskegee volleyball team completed day one action at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Cluster Friday afternoon in Mobile, Alabama hosted on the campus of Spring Hill College.
The Golden Tigers dropped a 3-0 decision to Kentucky State in its first match (25-16, 25-9, 25-16).
Crystal Hall led the team with six kills,
Cyrani Butler added five while
SeQueena Baldwin chipped in two.
Angelique Watson paced TU with five digs,
Brianna Fisher and
Zahria Radford notched four each.
In game two the Golden Tigers fell short in five sets against Lane College (19-25,11-25, 25-16, 25-17,10-16) making it their fourth straight defeat. Hall once again led the way with 15 kills, Butler and
Takeba Dowden followed close behind with 12 and 10 kills respectively.
Saturday Tuskegee will face Central State at 10:30 followed by an opponent that handed Tuskegee its lone defeat in LeMoyne Owen College. That match is set for 12 p.m.
