AUGUSTA, Ga. - Taj Thomson's line drive to third base caused an error and Caleem Serrant scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift LeMoyne-Owen College (8-23) past Tuskegee (24-26) 7-6 in a Saturday afternoon elimination game.
After trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning,
Ricky Green scored on a wild pitch while
Matthew Reed scored on a pass ball which was unearned making the score 4-3. Â
Tuskegee tied the game in the top of the eighth when Reed singled to left field bringing in
Gemini Jackson. The Golden Tigers would regain the lead for the first time since the first inning after Reed scored on a wild pitch making the score 5-4 heading into the bottom of the eighth.

Evan Kearse increasing TU's lead to 6-4 in the top of the ninth.Â
Eugene Mabota was credited with the loss for Tuskegee who pitched three innings and gave up three runs on two hits.  Booker earned the victory of the Magicians  improving to 2-3 on the season.
The 24 wins season for first year head coach
Reginald Hollins marked the highest win total for Tuskegee baseball since the 1999 team finished 21-15-1.
