In game one, senior pitcher Trey Nelson shutout the Magicians 7-0 tossing a complete game. The Lithonia, Ga, native improved to 2-8 on the season after striking out six batters and giving up zero runs against six hits.

Elgin Woodside's dominating performance from Friday night carried over into Saturday morning as it did not take long for him to make his presence felt, belting a three-run home run out to left field giving the Golden Tigers an early 3-0 lead after the first inning.

TU made it 4-0 when Woodside scored from a Joshua Lewis sacrifice fly in the third inning. Moments later, Matthew Reed increased the team's lead to 5-0 with his RBI single to midfield , scoring Ronald McGhee. The scoring would round out in the sixth inning after both Lewis and Reed once again scored.

The Golden Tigers fell behind early in game two after LOC scored five runs in the first two innings. Trailing 7-2 in the fourth inning, Burton and Stallings both scored unearned runs making the score 7-4.

TU was unable to get any closer than a two run deficit after Shaw scored on a wild pitch. LOC would cross the plate two more times making the final 9-5.

The Golden Tigers will host Point University Tuesday from Paterson Field in Montgomery and the first pitch is set for 2 p.m.
