After falling in game one Saturday afternoon, the Tuskegee University baseball team split a pair of games Sunday at Paterson Field in a non-conference battle against Claflin, a past member of the SIAC.

In the first game of the day, Claflin to a huge 5-0 lead after three innings, but TU would respond with a four-run third inning of their own starting with
Keldric Burton who scored on a wild pitch in the bottom half of the third. Moments later,
Corey Stallings singled up the middle to score
Emory Willis and
Caleb Cobb, making the score 5-3.
Tayari Albright would bring the game to within one run at 5-4 after his single to center field that drove in Stallings.

The Panthers added another run in the top of the fifth inning, increasing its lead to 6-4.Â

In the bottom of the seventh inning,
Dominic Johnson started the rally for TU after a two RBI single that scored
Miles Jackson and Nelson to notch things at 6-6.

With two outs on the game on the line,
Jared Steele came through with the walk-off single that scored D. Johnson, giving the Golden Tigers a 7-6 victory.
Hunter Hudson pitched five innings and struck out two batters in the first game.

During the third and final game of the series, the Golden Tigers allowed seven runs on 14 hits, a game that also included another big third inning from the Panthers with three runs scoring.

Nytorious Cooler picked up the loss for TU. He struck out three batters on the day.
Skegee falls to 5-12 overall and 2-0 in the SIAC after Sunday's non-conference tilt. Tuskegee opens a four-game series next weekend at LeMoyne Owen. The two teams will play a pair of double-headers on Saturday and Sunday, both starting at 12:00 p.m.
