MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Tuskegee University baseball team split with Morehouse College in their season-opening doubleheader played in Montgomery on Saturday in non-conference action.

The Tuskegee University baseball team found momentum after an early homerun to center from Senior Ronald McGhee in the opening inning. The Golden Tigers were able to rally for a 9-7 non-conference victory at Paterson Field Saturday afternoon. 

Tuskegee was able to advance their 3-1 lead to 4-1 after a RBI single from Junior Corey Stallings, sent Jordan Lewis home in the bottom of the fourth

In the bottom of the 6th, Cobb lined a hit to third to bring home Tayari Albright and pick up his second RBI of the day. 

Morehouse cut into the Golden Tiger's lead in the final inning. The scoring began after Justin Harrison connected for an RBI single to make it it 9-2. 

The real scare for the Golden Tigers came after third baseman Grant Bennett hit for a grand slam to make it 9-7. 

Fortunately, pitcher Savonte Williams forced a groundout to the shortstop to end the game.
