TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Tuskegee baseball team dropped a pair of midweek home non-conference matchups over the last few days, falling to Tougaloo College, 17-16, and West Georgia 16-3 both at Washington Field.

Tougaloo 17, Tuskegee 16
The Golden Tigers' comeback effort in the ninth inning came up just short, as they fell to Tougaloo College on Tuesday. Tuskegee scored four runs in the ninth on an RBI single by
Rhyan Hayes (Chicago, Ill.) and a three-run homer from
Evan Jones (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), however fell in the tenth after an RBI single from Tougaloo.

The Golden Tigers got on the board in the first inning after Jones drew a walk, scoring the first run.

After Tougaloo scored two runs in the top of the sixth, Tuskegee answered with two of their own. The Bulldogs scored when an error scored one run for Tougaloo College and Hickman singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Tuskegee then answered when
Julian Grier tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run and
Alex Glass (Birmingham, Ala.) singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring another run.

The Golden Tigers put up five runs in the eighth, with
Raymond Henderson (Stone Mountain, Ga.) and
Torian Bunkley (Riverdale, Ga.) both drove in runs in the frame, before seven from the Bulldogs on their next opportunity at the plate in the ninth inning.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Tuskegee tied things up at 16 following the Jones home run, but could not answer in the tenth, falling 17-16.

Caleb Carter took the win for the Bulldogs, going three innings and allowing six runs on three hits while striking out four.

Labrauns Stinson (Atlanta, Ga.) took the loss for Tuskegee, working three and a third innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out one.

Meanwhile, the Golden Tigers socked two home runs on the day and tallied 14 hits in the game. Hayes, Glass, and
Jeremy Hawkins (Pinson, Ala.) each collected multiple in the game. Hayes led the team with three hits in six at bats.

West Georgia 16, Tuskegee 3
The Golden Tigers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 16-3 loss to West Georgia on Wednesday at Washington Field.

The Wolves scored on a stolen base by Sam Ladner in the first inning, a walk by Ladner in the second inning, and a stolen base by Anthony Calabro in the second inning. Tuskegee struggled to contain the high-powered offense, giving up 16 runs.

Nick Morgan was the winning pitcher for West Georgia, pitching just two innings and not allowing a hit or run, while striking one and walking one. Several pitchers entered the game as relief, with five securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Robert Snead (Powder Springs, Ga.) took the loss for Tuskegee, working one and one-third innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out one.
Jaylen Hill (Jonesboro, Ga.) earned the start on the mound and allowed six hits and eight runs over two and a third innings, striking out one

The Golden Tigers had seven hits in the game, led by
Cody Willis (Montgomery, Ala.) and Hayes who both collected multiple hits in the contest. Willis went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Tuskegee, who didn't commit a single error in the field.

Meanwhile, West Georgia tallied 13 hits in the win.
