Tuskegee Softball Drops Pair of SIAC Games on Saturday at Spring Hill

MOBILE, Ala. _ The Golden Tigers dropped a pair of games on the road to Spring Hill on Saturday in SIAC play, dropping their first two contests in league action, falling 3-2 in game one before 6-1 in game two.
 
Spring Hill 3, Tuskegee 2
Tuskegee was on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Spring Hill in game one in late fashion. The game was tied at two with the Badgers batting in the bottom of the seventh with a single on the first pitch of the at bat, drove in the game-winning run.
 
The pitching was strong on both sides. Spring Hill pitchers struck out five, while Tuskegee sat down two.
 
Kamya Hampton was in the pitcher's circle the Golden Tigers, lasting six innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out two.
 
Tuskegee also hit a long ball on the day, with Jada Chadwick knocking a solo shot in the sixth for the first score of the game from either side.
 
The Golden Tigers had seven hits in the game. T'yauna Rector and Myracle Hawkins both had two hits on the day to lead the team in the loss.
 
Spring Hill 6, Tuskegee 1
Tuskegee watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-1 loss to the Badgers in game two. Spring Hill the lead on a two-run home run in the first inning.
 
Caroline Clark was in the pitcher's circle for Tuskegee. The hurler surrendered six runs on six hits over six innings, striking out two.
 
Rector led Tuskegee again at the plate with two hits in three at bats.
