TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Golden Tigers took a pair of games on Saturday to secure the weekend series with Miles in a key battle for SIAC standings on Saturday at the TU Softball Field.

Tuskegee 8, Miles 0
Kamya Hampton was brilliant in the pitcher's circle on Saturday, throwing a no-hitter to lead Tuskegee past Miles 8-0 in the first game of the doubleheader.

The Golden Tigers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning.

Jada Chadwick,
Marissa Mitchell, and
Myracle Hawkins powered the big inning with RBIs.

Scoring opened in the first inning for Tuskegee, as Mitchell drove in
Jessica Morales with a single to center field. The Golden Tigers added six runs in the second inning to take the decisive lead, starting with an RBI bunt from Harrison, followed by a double from Chadwick to score two and the final two runs on an RBI single and groundout from Mitchell and Hawkins respectively.

Hampton did not allow a hit in the contest, striking out nine batters and allowing just one walk in the win. Meanwhile, Tuskegee earned eight total hits, led by Mitchell with two.
Tuskegee 5, Miles 3
The Golden Tigers also took game two of the doubleheader against Miles by a score of 5-3 to gain control of the weekend home series.

Miles fired up the offense in the second inning for their first score of the day, as Dixie McCarn grounded out, scoring one run.

Tuskegee used a big inning in the fourth to pull away for good with four runs in the frame.
Alexis Thompson doubled on the first pitch of her at bat, scoring two runs, followed by a homer from
Nylah Strange-Lindley to add another two scores.

Caroline Clark led things off on the rubber for the Golden Tigers, surrendering three runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out three and not allowing a walk.

Tuskegee collected 11 hits in the game two win, led by Thompson and Mitchell with three hits each
