ATLANTA, Ga. __ The Tuskegee track and field program had several standout performers over the weekend in the SIAC Track Championships, held at the Edwin Moses Track at Morehouse College.

Dennis Bailey had a strong meet, earning his way into the final heats of the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter individual runs. The senior finished first in the 400, with a time of 47.53, while taking home third at 21.63 in the 200, and 11.41 in the 100, good for eighth.

After being named First Team All-Conference in the high jump,
Sundiata Washington measured at 2.05m (6'8.75) in the event, taking second place in the league, while Dayshawn Goodyn finished fifth at 1.90m (6'2.75''). The Golden Tigers also had competitors in the finals in the throw events, with fellow First Team All-SIAC performer
Caleb White taking seventh in both discus throw (40.50m) and hammer throw (36.00m), followed by
Drake Hudson who finished eighth in the javelin throw at 41.98 meters.

The women's side also saw several top finishes, starting with the weekend from freshman Matealia Harper, who took second place in the javelin throw (32.39m), 13th in the discus throw (30.34m), and third overall in the heptathlon with 3243 total points. Teammate Daniel Wilson also performed well in the throwing events, earning fifth (36.73m) and tenth (25.96m) in the discus and javelin throw heats.

In the hurdles, Kaija Wilson took seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.46, while Naima Hoskins took sixth at 1:09.65 in the 400-meter. Meanwhile,

De'Shell Carr finished seventh (9.13m) and ninth (1.45m) in the long jump and high jump respectively, while
Madison Minga-Perry finished ninth at 5.01m in the long jump.

The 4x400 relay team of
Cydni Samuel,
Madison Minga-Perry, Walker, and Hoskins took fifth at 4:02.11 in the final hit, while the 4x400 men's group of Bailey,
Jude Servius,
Jireh Jones, and
Jordan Winder finished sixth in the prelims at 3:23.55 and seventh at 3:26.20 in the finals. Jones also took sixth in the decathlon with 4,293 total points.
