Played four years under head coach Eric Fuller at Bishop Montgomery High School... During senior season, he was the Team Captain, finishing with a .284 batting average, 9 runs batted in with 3 homeruns and All Conference honors... Also lettered in football during prep career... Finished as the Team Captain with 69 rushing and 34 passing yards. But his focus was defense, He was a shutdown corner, recorded 107 tackles and 10 interceptions... Earned Second Team All-League during sophomore season... Earned First Team All-League during junior and senior seasons.

PERSONAL: Son of Michelle and David Johnson of Los Angeles (Calif.) who plays baseball at Tennessee State University. Has one sibling, Devin Johnson... Graduate from Northern Arizona in Exercise Science.
