TUSKEGEE, Ala. I Tuskegee (9-11, 8-5 SIAC) dropped a pair of home games on Friday against Albany State by scores of 10-3 and 20-8 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play at Washington Field.

Albany State 10, Tuskegee 3
The Golden Tigers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-3 loss to Albany State in the first game on Saturday. The Golden Rams started the scoring early with a solo homer to left field and a two-RBI single to make the score 3-0 after one.

Albany State added to their lead in the fourth, scoring three runs on a pair of singles in the inning before taking a 9-0 lead after six with a three-run homer to left.

Tuskegee got on the board in the eighth, notching three runs in the inning on a home run by
Mark Hatch (Chicago, Ill.) who drove in
Albert Gonzalez (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and
Harrison Barnes (Cincinnati, Ohio) who doubled and walked respectively to get on base.

Senior
Savontae Williams (Riverdale, Ga.) started the game on the hill for the Golden Tigers, lasting five innings and allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out two. Sophomore
Malaki Roberts (St. Petersburg, Fla.) threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Meanwhile, Tuskegee registered seven hits in the game, led by Gonzalez,
Joshua Lewis (Huntsville, Ala.) and
Richard Smith (Birmingham, Ala.) who all collected two hits in the game.
Albany State 20, Tuskegee 8
Golden Tigers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 20-8 loss to Albany State in the second game on Saturday.

The Albany State bats continued to be hot in game two, knocking three homers in the first inning, including a grand slam and two solos, followed by another score in the second to take an early 7-0 lead.

Tuskegee ended the shutout in the third on a single up the middle from Lewis to score Smith for the first run, however they failed to score again until the fifth inning with a three-run homer from
Raymond Henderson (Stone Mountain, Ga.), who hit another three-run homer in the sixth to score Smith and
Jaylen Hill (Jonesboro, Ga).
Senior
Hunter Hudson (Montgomery, Ala.) was on the hill for the Golden Tigers, working four innings and allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out four batters. Three other pitchers contributed to the game in
Maizen Price (Charlotte, N.C.),
Devon Shaw (Atlanta, Ga.), and
Robert Snead (Powder Springs, Ga.) each contributed in relief for Golden Tigers.

Tuskegee totaled eight hits in the game, led by Henderson who finished 2-for-3 at the plate with two homers and six runs batted in, followed by Smith who also went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored three runs in the game.

The two teams will close out the weekend series with the third game on Sunday, starting at 12 noon at Washington Field.
