Tuskegee Sweeps Kentucky State, Falls to Central State to Conclude Weekend Play at SIAC West Cluster

WILBERFORCE, Ohio __ Tuskegee Volleyball split another pair of Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) matches on day two of the SIAC West Cluster, sweeping Kentucky State to start the day before falling to host Central State, 3-0, both inside the Beacom-Lewis Gymnasium.

The Golden Tigers (5-12, 3-9) started the day off strong with just their second sweep of the year with the 3-0 match against Kentucky State. Tuskegee recorded double figure kills in all three sets, along with out dishing out 34 assists to just 28 from KSU, along with 13 aces compared to just four from the opposition.
 
Tuskegee displayed a balanced attack in the match, as eight different players recorded at least two kills, led by junior Moriah Seay with eight along with 11 digs, two aces and two blocks in the win.

Tuskegee struggled in the final game of the weekend against host school Central State, as the Marauders controlled the game from start to finish. In the three-set contest, Central State earned 40 kills to just 27 from Tuskegee, and dished out 36 assists to just 26 from TU.
 
rebounded in the second game of the day, opening to a strong 2-0 lead (25-16, 26-24) in the match against the LeMoyne-Owen. The Magicians took the third set by a score of 25-16, before Tuskegee finished the match with a tight 25-23 win in the fourth set.

No Golden Tiger passed the double figure kill mark in the final game, as Seay led the way with eight kills, along with seven digs and a team-high three aces. Junior Chase Holloway led the team in digs with nine, to go with five kills.
