TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Tuskegee men's tennis team delivered a commanding performance in their non-conference home match against Rust College on Saturday, securing a dominant 7-0 victory at the Pepsico Tennis Courts.
With the win, the Golden Tigers improve to 5-4 on the season, while Rust College falls to 1-8.
Tuskegee took control from the start, sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets and displaying precision, power, and endurance on the court.
In singles play, No. 1 player Kevin Eutsey set the tone for the Golden Tigers with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory in his pairing. At No. 2, Torain Alleyne took his pairing with a 6-1, 6-1 win, showcasing his dominant serve and quick footwork.
At No. 3, Ty'lon Miller battled through a more competitive match but came out on top with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over his opponent. Noah Johnson followed at No. 4 with a solid 6-2, 6-4 victory against Gabe Campbell, effectively controlling the baseline exchanges.
In the lower singles spots, Eliyahu Pinkney secured a 6-2, 6-2 win over Joshua Johnson at No. 5, while Jack Shaw rounded out the sweep with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Jahbarri Joseph at No. 6.
Tuskegee continued their dominance in doubles play, winning all three doubles matches convincingly. Pinkney and Tyler Ladge paired up at No. 1 doubles, cruising to a 6-2 win.
The No. 2 duo of Eutsey and Alleyne controlled their match, also securing a 6-2 victory, while Zamani Moyo and Symon Brown completed the doubles sweep with a commanding 6-0 win at the No. 3 spot.
With this victory, Tuskegee displayed depth across the lineup, demonstrating strong play in both singles and doubles. The Golden Tigers' aggressive baseline play and sharp net presence proved to be key factors in their shutout performance.
