STARKVILLE, Miss. – Tuskegee track and field opened its outdoor season with a strong showing at the Alumni Bulldog Relays, hosted by Mississippi State at the Mike Sanders Track Complex.
The Golden Tigers had standout performances in the hammer throw, led by Danielle Wilson, who set a new personal record with a throw of 40.83 meters, securing 11th-place in the women's event.
Matealia Harper also put forth a solid effort, finishing 15th with a mark of 33.38 meters, as both athletes delivered top-15 finishes for Tuskegee.
On the men's side, Drake Hudson represented the Golden Tigers with a 17th-place finish, recording a throw of 29.62 meters in his first hammer throw competition of the season.
His performance added to Tuskegee's efforts in the field events as the team looks to build momentum early in the outdoor campaign.
The Golden Tigers will continue their competition throughout the weekend, with several more events on the schedule as they look to make a strong statement in their first outdoor meet of the season.
