Preview: Tuskegee Track & Field Set to Compete at Georgia Tech Invitational

TUSKEGEE, Ala. — The Tuskegee track and field team is back in action this weekend as it travels to Atlanta, Georgia, to participate in the 2025 Georgia Tech Invitational.

The two-day meet, hosted by Georgia Tech, will be held Friday and Saturday, April 18–19, at the George C. Griffin Track and will feature top Division I, II, and NAIA talent from across the Southeast.

This marks the fourth meet of the outdoor season for Tuskegee, which returns to the track following a strong showing at Troy University's Doc Anderson Invitational on April 4–5.

The Golden Tigers continue to build momentum with multiple athletes setting personal bests and climbing the national performance lists throughout the month of March and early April.

At the Doc Anderson Invitational, Tuskegee's men and women turned in several top-five finishes and conference-leading times.

The Georgia Tech Invitational presents one of the most competitive meets on Tuskegee's regular season schedule, with teams from across the Gulf South Conference, SIAC, and the ACC all expected to compete.

According to the final schedule, field events begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the men's hammer throw, followed by javelin, long jump, shot put, and pole vault.

Friday's running events start at 5:00 p.m. with hurdles and sprints, including the 100m, 1500m, and 5000m heats that extend late into the evening?.

Saturday's schedule includes a full slate of relays and mid-distance races, with the 4x100m and 400m hurdles opening the day and the 800m, 200m, and 4x400m relays closing the competition.

Triple jump, discus, and high jump events will also take place throughout the day.

Live results will be provided via PrimeTime Timing Results, and fans can follow real-time updates.
