The Golden Tigers totaled 10 hits in the game and took advantage of five Lane errors.

After Lane took an early 1–0 lead in the top of the first, Tuskegee responded quickly.

Slaughter delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh to put the game out of reach.
