ATLANTA, Ga. – After an outstanding 2025 regular season, Tuskegee softball was well-represented when the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its postseason honors on Monday morning.
Â
The Golden Tigers captured six All-SIAC selections as well as multiple major awards, including Freshman of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Coach of the Year honors.
Â
Freshman pitcher
Monica Rose headlined the award winners, earning First Team Starting Pitcher, SIAC Freshman of the Year, and SIAC Pitcher of the Year. Rose was dominant in the circle throughout the season, compiling a 15-2 record with a 1.90 ERA across 110.1 innings pitched.
Â
She recorded 122 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to just a .200 batting average. Rose's performances powered Tuskegee to a 26-6 overall record and a 20-2 mark in SIAC play.
Â
Joining Rose on the All-SIAC First Team was graduate student
Kamya Hampton, who was named both First Team Starting Pitcher and First Team Relief Pitcher.
Â
Hampton provided versatility and consistency on the mound, posting a 10-4 record with a 2.42 ERA over 81 innings. She struck out 62 batters and allowed just 28 earned runs while also playing a key role as a late-inning reliever when needed.
Â
Senior
Caroline Clark was honored as the First Team Designated Player, following a breakout season at the plate. Clark hit .415 over 20 games, driving in 10 runs with a .529 on-base percentage. She also recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, contributing both offensively and defensively to Tuskegee's success.
Â
Several other Golden Tigers earned spots on the Second Team. Senior catcher
Kaeley Roldan secured a Second Team Catcher selection after hitting .318 on the year, with 21 hits, 22 RBIs, and an outstanding .987 fielding percentage behind the plate.
Â
First baseman
Alexis Thompson was named Second Team First Base after leading Tuskegee in RBIs (32) and extra-base hits (10 doubles and 3 home runs), while batting .383 with a team-best .617 slugging percentage.
Â
Second baseman
Carole Ross rounded out the selections, garnering Second Team Second Base honors. Ross hit .339 with 13 RBIs and maintained a strong .941 fielding percentage.
Â
In addition to the individual accolades, Head Coach
Dietrich Randle was named SIAC Coach of the Year for the second time in his career.
Â
Randle's leadership guided Tuskegee to one of its most successful seasons in recent program history, including a sweep of the SIAC West Division, an impressive 10-1 home record, and a No. 1 seed entering the SIAC Tournament.
Â
The Golden Tigers' blend of strong pitching, consistent hitting, and steady defense positioned them as one of the premier teams in the conference throughout the 2025 campaign.
Â
As they head into postseason play, Tuskegee looks to add to its historic season with a championship run.
Â
Tuskegee will begin its quest for the 2025 SIAC Softball Championship on Monday, taking on Benedict, the No. 4 seed from the East Division, at the South Commons Softball Complex, aiming to bring another trophy back to campus.
