Tuskegee Baseball Accepts Invitation to Inaugural Minority Baseball Prospects HBCU Final Four Tournament

TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Tuskegee baseball program has officially accepted an invitation to participate in the inaugural Minority Baseball Prospects (MBP) HBCU Final Four Tournament, set to take place May 8-10 at the Riverwalk Stadium, home of the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Golden Tigers will join three other prestigious HBCU programs __ Dillard University (La.), Miles College (Ala.), and Morehouse College __ in the postseason showcase event hosted by MBP, an organization dedicated to highlighting the talent and tradition of Black college baseball through national exposure, professional-level facilities, and MLB scouting opportunities.

The Golden Tigers will start tournament play against rival Miles on Thursday, May 8, with first pitch scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Tuskegee will then face Dillard on Friday, May 9, also at 12:00 p.m. Saturday's games on May 10 will be determined based on tournament seeding, with the championship or consolation game set for either 1:00 p.m or 6:00 p.m.

The event aims to celebrate the success of HBCU baseball while giving student-athletes a platform to perform at the next level.

Beyond the competition on the field, the MBP HBCU Final Four will feature a full weekend of activities designed to celebrate student-athletes and showcase the richness of HBCU culture.

Participating teams will take part in a whitewater rafting excursion down the Coosa River, offering players a chance to bond off the field while experiencing one of Alabama's most scenic natural attractions.

The weekend will also include a downtown Montgomery concert featuring local and regional artists, creating a festive atmosphere and highlighting the city's vibrant cultural heritage.

In addition, players will participate in engagement activities such as tours of the Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, offering a powerful connection to Montgomery's civil rights legacy.

Student-athletes will also have the opportunity to connect with professional scouts and community leaders through networking panels and meet-and-greet sessions, helping to build life skills and open doors to future athletic and professional opportunities.

Tuskegee enters the tournament following a strong finish to the regular season and a postseason appearance in the 2025 Cricket SIAC Baseball Championship. '

Led by Head Coach Chadwick Hall, the Golden Tigers showed steady improvement throughout the season, highlighted by offensive firepower, key conference wins, and individual accolades.

Several players posted career-best numbers this year, including senior leaders and emerging underclassmen who have helped revitalize the program.

Game times, opponents, and ticket information will be announced in the coming days by Minority Baseball Prospects.

All games will be held at the Riverwalk Stadium, offering a professional environment and drawing interest from MLB scouts, HBCU alumni, and baseball fans nationwide.
