Box Score 2 ALBANY, Ga. | The Tuskegee University volleyball team split their matches for the second consecutive day at the SIAC Crossover, winning their first match before dropping the finale.
In the opener, the Tigerettes picked up their fifth conference victory of the season and their sixth win in seven matches, with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-18) over Fort Valley State.
In the victory,
Pamela Allen led all players with 13 kills on 15 total attempts. She posted a career-high .867 hitting percentage, while also posting a dig and six blocks.
Jacqueline Wilson added nine kills on 21 attempts, hitting .333. She added a pair of digs in the victory.
Jamiah Breda-Nixon contributed with six kills on 21 total attempts, while hitting .333. She also had a dig and three service aces.
Morgan Scrivens dished out a career-high 32 assists, while also adding six digs and one service ace.
Zahria Radford added five digs and two service aces.
In the day's finale, the Tigerettes fell to Clark Atlanta 3-0.
Tuskegee (7-5, 5-3 SIAC) was led by Allen with seven kills on 12 total attempts, hitting .500 for the match. Breda-Nixon added five kills on eight attempts, hitting .625; while
Donovan Wingfield finished with three kills and hitting .375.
Scrivens finished the nighcap with 19 assists and 11 digs, while Radford finished with 16 digs.
Tuskegee returns to action Saturday morning against Albany State at 8 am (est), followed by Paine at 2 pm (est).
