Box Score TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ Tuskegee baseball dropped the opening game of a weekend conference series against Morehouse, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon at Washington Field.
Both teams failed to score in the opening inning, before Morehouse fired up the offense in the second inning after James Thorpe hit a solo homer.

The Maroon Tigers took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning, with a homer from Thorpe on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Tuskegee added their final run in the eight, as

Savion Mohammed led the Morehouse to victory on the pitcher's mound, allowing eight hits and three runs over eight and a third innings, while striking out 11 and walking one. George Lester threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jaylen Hill took the loss for Tuskegee. The pitcher allowed nine hits and six runs over six and a third innings, striking out seven.
Meanwhile, the Golden Tigers collected eight hits. Hawkins and Hatch both managed multiple hits from the plate, with Hawkins going 3-for-4 on the day.
Morehouse totaled ten hits in the game, with five batters collecting multiple hits in the contest.
