TUSKEGEE __ Tuskegee baseball will compete in another midweek non-conference contest on Wednesday afternoon when plays host to West Alabama at Washington Field. The game will cap off a string of four consecutive home games for the Golden Tigers.

TU is coming off an extra-inning conference win over Clark Atlanta, splitting two games over the weekend against the Panthers. The Golden Tigers have gone 3-5 so far in league games as they currently sit in ninth place in the SIAC standings.

Tuskegee banged out a combined 20 hits versus the Panthers with 11 of those coming in the 10-inning game on Sunday. TU registered a pair of sacrifice flies, one double, and ten stolen bases to take the game, 9-8.Â
Elgin Neal II drove home
Eli Speights in the bottom of the tenth for the walk-off win.
Cody Willis led the Golden Tigers at the plate, going 3-for-6 with two runs batted in on the day, followed by
Nicholas Pratt and Neal who both earned two hits in the win. Neal also drove home two RBIs along with scoring twice.
Devon Lee notched his second win of the season, surrendering six hits and six runs over five and one-third innings and striking out five.
Jacori McGee pitched for 2.0 innings, allowing four hits and one run, while
Rodney Mudd II and
Mikelle Mason combined for 2.2 innings of work, allowing just one hit and one run between them.
On the season,
Harrison Barnes leads the team with a .306 batting average, along with 11 hits, nine runs scored, and six RBIs. Meanwhile, Pratt and
Scott Williams both bat .289 and are tied with a team-leading 13 hits, along with a combined 16 runs and 16 RBI. As a team, the Golden Tigers now have 128 total hits, 82 runs, and seven home runs on the season.

West Alabama is coming off a weekend series loss at Auburn Montgomery, being outscored by the Warhawks just 16-13 in the three games. The Tigers have lost four of their previous five games and 3-6 in to start Gulf South Conference play. UWA is 1-2 in midweek games.

Offensively, the Tigers are batting .236 as a team with three everyday players hitting at least .280. Cade Horton leads the team so far, batting .362, with 17 hits, including six doubles, seven runs batted in, and four runs scored. Bryce Newman is right behind at .329 with a team-leading 23 hits.
